Library News
From the Co-ordinator of Library
The Library invites parents/caregivers of students in Years 7 to10 to participate in 'Two of a Kind - A Winter Holiday Reading Experience’
What is ‘Two of a Kind’?
This is a shared reading experience between a parent/caregiver and child(ren).
Each parent/carer and child will:
- Engage in shared holiday reading
- Receive a copy of the book - the title, author, and genre will remain a mystery until it comes home and you and your child unwrap it together
- Read the book and share thoughts and opinions
What are the benefits of participating?
Reading with your child:
- Teaches them important lessons about the world, behaviour, and feelings
- Models that reading is a lifelong passion, not something that is limited to the school years
- Creates special moments with children
If you would like to participate, please do so via this linkbefore Friday 16 June.
Overdue Books
We have a significant number of books that are past their due date, many of which are in excess of two months overdue! The Library staff kindly asks parents to remind their child(ren) to have a look for these at home. Emails and letters have been sent to students, so they are aware of what is currently issued to their account. As of next term, any books in excess of 40 days overdue will be charged to your school account.
