STEPS Program returns !

Pamela Black from Think Actively, together with Hayley and Alara from our Wellbeing team have started the STEPS program with  small groups of Year 7 and 8 students.

The program is based on the theory, that when youth have better control of their emotions  are less impulsive and have better relationships, they are able to learn.

This program aims to teach students skills such as:

  • mindfulness
  • emotional regulation
  • distress tolerance
  • interpersonal effectiveness
  • walking the middle path

The program will run for this term.

Do you have a SCREENAGER?!?

Lots of young people have increased their time on their devices especially over the lockdowns of last year.  Here is a wonderful link to help parents and screenagers to monitor their time on devices, identify how screen time affects their sleep, and encourage them that other non-screen activities can be fun too!
