Principal's Report

Report from our Principal: Duncan Arendse

Dear parents, friends and Father Arsenio,

What a great way to celebrate our mothers and Mother's Day last Friday.  I am so grateful that we were able to gather in the hall and acknowledge our mothers with an afternoon tea. This celebration had been a long time in the planning and it was a great success based on numbers as well as content.

Thanks to the prep staff for the song and Ben for compiling the presentation.  I am also appreciative of the four dads (who represented all of you) who assisted with waiter duties and clean up.  We learnt a lot from this and will be able to build it up bigger and better next year (when restrictions no longer apply).

Please keep in your thoughts and prayers our Confirmation candidates. They are diligently preparing for Friday week. I will be at practice with them next Wednesday and will also look forward to celebrating the sacrament on Friday 21st May at the Cathedral with them. It is great that we can celebrate with families however number limits are still applicable.

It has been great to hold assembly outside and with so many people present. Unfortunately if we are forced inside due to weather we have modified procedures. To maximise parent attendance we will have to switch these to a virtual assembly. Kayla will be providing further details via Dojo so please watch out for this information.

It is the time of year when I am accepting enrolments for next year.  I would be most appreciative if you are aware of a family who is interested in enrolling please pass on the school details.

Have a great week

Duncan
