Please check your child’s iPad

Throughout the year we like to remind our families of the importance of online safety, the Carly Ryan Foundation https://www.carlyryanfoundation.com/ is an awesome website to find information about all of the Apps that our children have or would like to have. Many of these App are only for children 13+ years of age – which are not suitable for Primary School students and therefore should not be on their iPads when at school. We have attached a few fact sheets here in relation to some of the apps that we have noticed our students are using, many of which are not age appropriate. Please make the time to talk to your child/ren and have a look over their Ipads with them.  It is important that we are all giving our kids the same message.

The Carlie Ryan Foundation is a certified online safety program provider under the Office of the eSafety Commissioner and delivers online safety and healthy relationship seminars to students and parents. The organisation also provides a range of services and support in the areas of internet safety and crime, cyberbullying, connection to resources and counselling and contributing to law and policy reform.
