New bike racks are coming
Kat Theopanous with Sue Harrap and Year 7s
We were delighted to host a visit from State Member for Northcote, Kat Theophanous on Thursday 11 December. Kat attended our Year 7 assembly to announce a $50,000 grant to upgrade and expand the bike storage for our students and staff. No longer will students be finding the nearest tree or fence to ‘secure’ their bike.
Unfortunately, Ged Kearney, Federal Member for Cooper, was unable to attend, but in her absence, it was also announced that we will receive a further $5,000 for the Cooper Community Grants. This will also go towards the bike storage upgrade.
We look forward to working with students to design efficient and effective storage so that more students can ride to school. Our commitment to active and sustainable lifestyles can be further enhanced through these two grants.
We sincerely thank our local members for advocating on our behalf.
