Can you make a Soufflé?

...Well our Year 8’s can! As we wrap up another year in the Foods Faculty Year 8 undertook the challenge of separating eggs to make the perfect soufflé. The resulting chocolate soufflés were a huge success and happy chocolate lips were evident.

Our Year 7s tied up their investigation by giving reports to the class on Australian Guidelines to Healthy Eating and producing products from each of the food groups. We hope they will have a good understanding of the benefits of eating a well-balanced diet with good food decisions.

Year 10 finished off the year with a calzone to reinforce the skills of working with yeast.

2019 has been a great year for us in the faculty and for 2020 the focus will be to reduce food waste even further.  We would like to remind all students to please bring containers to take food home every week, as we become ever more mindful of our environment.
