BSC Cross Country, Sausage Sizzle and Casual Clothes Day

BSC will be holding the annual school Cross Country event on Wednesday 31st March. For a gold coin donation, students are able to come to school in casual clothes, with the option to change into either their sports uniform or alternatively their house colours for the duration of the event which will take place during periods 5 and 6. All students are encouraged to participate in the event to the best of their ability.

VCAL students will also be running a sausage sizzle at lunch time (see below for pricing), with all funds raised on the day (including gold coin donation) going to the C.F.A.

Sausage in bread $2.00

Can of soft drink $2.00

Pop up Op Shop

On Tuesday 30th March, VCAL students will be holding a pop up Op Shop at BSC. All items will be priced $15 and under, with all proceeds going to the Ballarat Soup Bus.

Students would appreciate the community's support through donations that are in a good, clean and wearable condition (no under garments please). Items can be dropped off at the front office up until the 26th March. More details regarding time and actual location will be provided to students at assembly on the morning of the pop up shop.

Library News

The Library has been rearranged over the past weeks and hopefully it is looking better. There is now a quiet study corner and a chill out corner. The shelves have also been restructured and although confusing at first, I’m sure we will all get used to the new format.

I have quite a few new books, including some Horror books on the way for those of you who are braver than me. The chess sets are popular again, which is great to see. Our chess players are always looking for new challengers, so come along and join the competition. Anyone interested in helping us finish our jigsaw, please come along. We seem to have come to a standstill.

There are also board games, crosswords, Sudoku and colouring or just come for a chat. If anyone has trouble fitting homework in at home, I will always find you a quiet spot to get it done during lunch or recess.

AND OF COURSE, BOOKS, LOTS OF BOOKS.

The Library is open Monday to Thursday recess and lunch.
