Academic Care and Wellbeing - Students

INFORMATION REGARDING STUDENT CARE

At the commencement of Term 2, the College would like to advise parents/carers that there is a child in the school community who will be returning from chemotherapy treatment. As a consequence of the treatment this student’s ongoing health is at risk if they come into contact with infectious illnesses, in particular chicken pox, shingles, measles, mumps or whooping cough.

If your son or daughter is suspected to have any of these illnesses it is very important that they do not attend school. It is also important that whilst your child is unwell he/she remains home until he/she no longer is contagious.

Information on infectious conditions can be found on the Australian Government website or alternatively contact your local GP.

If your child has chicken pox, shingles, measles, mumps or whooping cough or is suspected of having illnesses please contact the school immediately. This will allow the College to assess the probable contact and therefore minimise the exposure of our student to the disease. Notification can then be given to the parents and medical specialists.

As a school community we value your support in relation to the well-being of all our students. Please do not hesitate to contact the school if you have any questions.

COLLEGE WINTER UNIFORM

As we return for Term 2 we enter a two week transition period for our winter uniform.  Students may choose to wear either the full summer College uniform, or the full winter College uniform for the first two weeks.  From Week 3 all students will be expected to present to school in their full winter uniform.

Uniform Shop opening hours are as follows:

  • Wednesday 7 April 9.00am - 12.00pm
  • Friday 9 April 9.00am - 12.00pm
  • Wednesday 14 April 9.00am - 12.00 noon
  • Friday 16 April 9.00 am- 12.00 noon

Please note: Students are expected to adhere to the College Uniform and Appearance Policy.  In particular, all boys should have clean shaven faces and their hair length must sit above their collar.

YEAR 7 IMMUNISATIONS

A reminder that Year 7 Immunisations will take place on Thursday April 22, 2021.  All Year 7 students will be allowed to wear their full Sports Uniform on that day.

We are exceptionally proud of the way our Year 7 students have begun their high school experience and the way they have engaged in their learning this Term.  Their skills have developed in areas of time management, note taking, summarising, editing, peer and self evaluation, not to mention a range of technology skills.

Please see below work samples from their Easter Experiences unit.
