Animal Walks

Animal walks are a fun way to help improve balance, coordination and strength. Try some of the animal walks below, or make up your own!

Kangaroo hop- Stand up, then bend your knees and take a big jump forward. Keep jumping as high and as far as you can. 

 

 

Crab Walk- Place hands and feet on the floor, tummy up. Keep tummy flat. Walk forwards and backward.

 

Bear Walk- Place hands and feet on the floor. Keep arms and legs straight. Move right arm and leg forwards, then the left arm and left leg. 

 

Bird Walk- Stand on tip-toes. Wave arms slowly up and down. As wings move faster, run on tippy-toes faster.
