A warm welcome

To all as we begin a wonderful new year in what has been challenging times.

On behalf of the Parents and Friends Team, I would like to welcome and thank all of the amazing people who have signed on for a permanent role or have committed their time to volunteering at our past and upcoming events. It is so greatly appreciated.

As your newly elected president, I would like to thank you all for this incredible opportunity to represent the school and I look forward to getting to know you all in the coming year.

Our recent Mother’s Day breakfast for Year 7s, 9s and 12s was a wonderful morning created by the Parents and Friends Team together with the fantastic staff of our college. It was so lovely to meet so many Mum’s and students who enjoyed the morning breakfast and walked away with wonderful memories in photos with their sons and a photo album keepsake. 

I must take this opportunity to say how blessed we are as a community to be raising such fine young men. I was lucky enough to be able to sit with the senior school captains and they displayed exemplary qualities. They were generous with their time, extremely respectful, courteous and a pleasure to be around. I was so impressed and thankful that this is the school I chose for my own son. If he grows into a young gentleman such as these students, I will be overjoyed. 

Our Parents and Friends Mother’s day stall was a great success and the students were thrilled to be able to purchase that something special for their mum’s, with the proceeds donated to our Mission Action Day. 

A special thank you to Jacinta Jones who oversaw the stalls and our wonderful volunteers for their time and efforts across the three days. 

I would like to remind you all of the upcoming Parents and Friends Welcome Evening that is on 20 May 2022. Tickets are just $25.00 and can be purchased through Trybooking. This welcome evening is open to Year’s 7 and 12. 

I hope you all had a wonderful Mother’s day and I look forward to seeing you all at our upcoming events. This year, I really do hope to spark some joy within our school community and see many more faces taking part in the different aspects of our Parents and Friends program.
