Term 3
This term as learning sessions have begun again, all learning teams have changed both their language and create subjects to either create visual, create performance, French or Japanese. These will be their subjects for the rest of the semester.
Students have also been given the opportunity to audition for our first school production ‘It’s a beautiful day’! The musical’s script follows the short story written by Holly Brabner and together with Mrs AG and the rest of the script writing team the script is well on its way to completion. All roles have been assigned to many students both major and minor and all school students are encouraged to participate doing either on or off the stage duties. We are all very excited to begin rehearsals and showcase our skills.
In Japanese we have been learning to pronounce and understand traditional greetings like ‘how are you?’ and ‘good morning’. We have done audio recordings and dialogue with friends to help us remember them and improve our pronunciation. We have also looked at the importance of learning a language and how we can benefit from it. In Japanese as a class, we are able to earn ‘sushi’ for answering questions and doing good work. Our amount of sushi rolls is compared to other classes and at the end of the semester the class with the most sushi rolls gets a traditional Japanese lunch.
As we continue to learn in our learning sessions we look forward to what the remainder of the term has to offer.
