Secondary Year 12

The World of Work

The Year 12 classes are participating in Work Related Skills programs each Thursday and will experience each program throughout the year.

SAP – This class is running a small business, providing coffee and a sweet treat to customers each week.  This program is self-funded and students gain experience in marketing, customer service, teamwork and food preparation.

SNK – The students run the school canteen each Tuesday and Thursday, working as a team to prepare the lunch orders for the entire school, considering food handling standards and OHS requirements.  This gives students a taste of the Hospitality industry.

SSS – A small group of students run a weekly BBQ at Bunnings, South Morang.  Working in a fast-paced environment, students develop customer service, money-handling, food preparation and safety skills.  Feel free to come down any Thursday to buy a sausage and see the crew in action.

The remaining students from this class are running a small business, baking and selling treats for dogs.  These healthy dog biscuits and ‘pupcakes’ have been very popular amongst the Concord staff’s fur-babies.
