Senior Unit - 5/6

Camp

Yesterday parents should have received information regarding Canberra Camp via Compass. This year we will be taking both the Year 5s and 6s to our nation’s capital, to enjoy all the interesting and fun activities it has to offer. We will be leaving on Tuesday May the 2nd and returning on Friday May the 5th.

Thank you to all the parents that have already sent back their child’s ‘Confidential Information Form’. There are two ways to complete the form if you have not already done so, you are able to print out the form and send it in to school as a hard copy or complete the form digitally, save it and then send the document to Mr. Spilsted at:

Nathan.spilsted@education.vic.gov.au If you have any questions, please see your child’s classroom teacher.

We are also seeking quite a number of parent helpers to come on camp to assist. If you would like to attend the camp (and hold a Working with Children check). Please contact Mr. Spilsted.

House Captain Selection

This Friday, Year 6 students who have nominated to go for a House Captain position will be given the opportunity to do a speech to students from their respective houses. The students will then vote for the two students they believe will be a great leader for their team. We wish all the students the best of luck and look forward to seeing who the leaders of Dryden, Ebden, Mitchell and Chisholm are for 2023.

Summer Sports – March 3rd

Senior sports is in full swing this term. Students have selected the sport they wish to compete in this year, and those who selected Teeball, Cricket and Volleyball are busily learning the rules and honing their skills on a Thursday afternoon.

We are looking for parents to help out on the day, if you are interested please contact your child’s classroom teacher.

Parent/Teacher Meet and Greets

Thank you to the parents that booked a time to meet with their child’s classroom teacher last week. If you are yet to make a time, please contact your child’s teacher directly via their email. These meetings are a fantastic way to impart knowledge about your child as an individual as well as a learning.
