Class 5/6 A Presenting

At last Friday's assembly we were treated to a presentation by Dave's 5/6 class. We were able to see their interpretation of Welcome To Country.  Each student wrote about what being connected to country meant to them and the feelings it evokes as well as documenting this by drawing about their writing.

In my valley the mountains swallow the sun leaving it a cold hole, from the start of the granite flat the trees enclose the wind and keeps the track cool.

Until the top of the track to West peak to put my rock on the stack stop - Alex

In my town, where the reflections mirror the mountains and the walking trail hugs the water, there is a pondage.

On Sundays my friends and family go dragon boating.

Paddles digging into the water with the beat of a drum. From one end to the other, we race. - Bella

In Tully’s place where the sunset cracks the sky and the hills catch your eye there’s a paddock.

In the evening we chat and eat food, soft friendly talking from the afternoon into the cool chill of the night. -Tully

In my valley, where the snow sparkles down and the sun shines above, there is a mountain.

On the weekend my dad and I go snowboarding.

Big, huge jumps from the morning until the hot chocolate at the end of the day. - Sunni
