STEM CHALLENGE

Year 8 Spaghetti and Marshmallow STEM Challenge

I had the pleasure of being in a team with our new English Learning Leader Andrew McLeod and English teacher Sherine Baydoun where we competed in the Spaghetti and Marshmallow challenge against the Year 8 students.

I thank Kate Jones, Mark Molino and Eric Chan, the Digital Technology, Science and Mathematics Learning Leaders respectively, for organising this activity to give the Year 8 girls an opportunity to get into STEM. Also thanks to Sherine and Andrew for sharing their engineering skills and prowess in building spaghetti towers.

Look out in the next Newsletter to hear all about it.
