Spanish Update Term 1
Hola y bienvenidos!
Kilberry Valley students have made a wonderful start to their Spanish language learning this year.
PrepsPreps are having fun learning to say hello and goodbye, count to 5 and know some colour words by listening to simple songs, short stories and playing games. Why not ask your Prep child to share what they have learned?
Junior schoolJunior students have been revising and learning numbers to 20 and the days of the week. They have worked with partners to play vocabulary games and have completed drawings and cut and paste activities to show their understanding of new vocabulary.
Middle SchoolMiddle students have learnt a variety of greeting and farewells used at specific times of the day and week. Each class has done an impressive job learning and singing the lyrics to The Meet & Greet Song. Miss Cifuentes has played her ukelele too!
Senior SchoolIn the Senior grades, students have been exploring Spanish grammar and learning new vocabulary related to our unit called ‘My World’. They have been learning to understand the concept that Spanish adjectives must ‘agree’ with the noun they describe, in relation to both number and gender.
We look forward to watching your children develop their Spanish language and intercultural competence throughout the year.
