Senior Maths Groups

In Maths, the senior school is learning to construct graphs using data we’ve collected. On Thursday (last week) we asked the question “what’s your favourite sport?” Students from SB and SE made an awesome human graph, showing our results. 

Here’s what some of the students from SE had to say…

“We had a lesson with SB on graphing. We had to go into columns, each column had a different sport. We had to go into our favourite sport. Later that afternoon we drew a graph on the data we got. It was a fun experience to make a human bar graph.” Arielle, grade 6, SE

“Thursday afternoon, SE and SB had maths together. We all made a sports graph and soccers was the most popular, while t-ball had zero. I enjoyed it because so many people voted for soccer!”  Mohammad SE

“We had a fun maths session with SB. We wrote some of our favourite sports on mini whiteboards. Then we lined up behind our favourite sport and made a human graph. Then we made a tally and a graph in class. Anna,  SE
