ZOOLOGY HEALESVILLE SANCTUARY 

Endangered Species

On Wednesday 27 November, Ms Van Bakel’s Year 10 Zoology students had the rare opportunity to see behind the scenes of Healesville Sanctuary's Endangered Species Program.

Students got the chance to hear from and speak with Zoo Keepers, who work with the animals on a daily basis.

Students were able to learn about what's involved in designing enclosures, providing environmental enrichment and the specialist husbandry care, needed to enable these animals to not only survive in the wild, but also thrive in captivity.
