Past Pupils of Distinction
Celebrating Kilbreda Alumnae
The highlight of 2017 for the Past Pupils’ Network Committee was the celebration of Kilbreda women making a difference, an initiative we have developed over a period of time.
The Kilbreda College Community took time to honour and celebrate past pupils who have achieved outstanding success and excellence in their fields of endeavour, have made a positive difference in the lives of others and who embody the Kilbreda motto of “Strength and Kindliness”.
As a college community we are inspired by the life and ministry of Brigid of Kildare, a woman of strength and compassion, who instils in us a strong commitment to justice and equality, peace and reconciliation. Kilbreda women are called to follow in her footsteps, be women of action and make a difference!
Four incredible women were inducted to thePast Pupils of Distinction; their names are inscribed on an Honour Board which will join others in the Mary Dalton Hall.

Past Pupils of Distinction Inaugural Dinner
To celebrate and recognise all nominees and inductees a dinner was held at the College on 4 August 2017.
Guests included past College principals, sisters of the Brigidine community, past pupils, their family and friends, staff and the 2017 College Co-Captains.
“The stories of these women are inspirational and we thank them for sharing with us and allowing us to journey with them for a short while”, stated one Past Pupil. Whilst Peta Wragg in her address stated, “The current and future students of Kilbreda will be enriched and inspired by the stories of all who have been nominated for the inaugural promulgation of Kilbreda’s Past Pupils of Distinction – and our hope is that they will say 'so too can I' make a difference to my world.”
The members of the Past Pupils’ Network Committee wish to thank all in the Kilbreda College Community who contributed to the success of this function which has been a highlight of the year and begins a new tradition for the college.
