Year 10

Year 10 Formal

The 2018 Year 10 formal was a joyous celebration of the Year 10 community spirit. The venue was the ‘Long Room’ upstairs at the Aussie Hotel. There were chandeliers, an expansive leafy verandah all adding to the ambiance of the night. Thanks to all the hosts for providing a wonderful venue and excellent service with a great menu.

The evening began with guests arriving from their private photographic sessions from around the Goulburn Valley’s picturesque venues, only to be snapped by Ms Amy Gallacher as they alighted the stairs to their night of nights. A number of competitions (Official and novelty) were run throughout the night.,The obligatory ‘Queen’ & ‘King’ awards were hotly contested, with guests attuned to the criteria of maximum inclusiveness of others; e.g. Interaction with all groups – Some even spending time sitting with the teacher’s table! Dancing and positive energy radiated from all.

Best dressed – ‘Almost impossible to split them. ‘Female’ and ‘Male’. The ‘Best Dancers’ – ‘Female’ and ‘Male.’ Not one wallflower on the night, such was the energy of togetherness, any guest who appeared to be hesitant was swiftly swept-up in the energy of the group as they were grabbed and engulfed by the milieu of movement and sheer accelerating enjoyment. Award winners on the night were:

Queen – Montana Carter

King – Morgan Randall

Best dancers:

Female –Madaya Mather-Pinnow

Male –Zac Groombridge

Best dressed:

Female – Siajapata Kasimba

Male – Haseeb Saqib

Fourteen staff members attended and all mentioned that the overwhelming sense of ‘togetherness’ of the group on the night made it truly a special occasion. Of course, we had hoped for that and the Year 10 group made it happen.
