A rotating art exhibition with art works from local schools and kindergartens will grace the walls of Macualta Place. The first exhibit will feature works from art students at Shepparton High School.

PR, Marketing and Fundraising Manager Jo Breen explained that every 12 months, the artwork will rotate to another school, allowing students the opportunity to have their work professionally framed and displayed as part of a rotating community art exhibit.

“We will bring the artists in to Maculata Place to officially launch the exhibit, giving the residents and student a chance to mingle and discuss their work. It is a great opportunity to bring a cohort of young people in to our community and we are so very grateful to Louise McDade-cartey and the students at Shepparton High School for their hard work,” she said.

The Shepparton High School students began working on their pieces earlier this year. Art teacher Louise McDade-cartey said the project had been a great focus for the students and teachers, and that everyone was really excited about being involved in Maculata Place.

“I’ve never done anything like this before with our students but for them to be able to have their work professionally curated in a building like this is just amazing. The building is absolutely beautiful and we are so proud to be the first community art exhibitors. The students are looking forward to the opening so they can see their works hung on the walls,” she said.
