YEAR 12 2019 ORIENTATION PROGRAM 

The Year 11 exam program commenced on Monday 12th November followed by the Year 12 orientation program for our current Year 11 students for two weeks from19th November – 30th November.This is a terrific opportunity for next year’s senior students to begin preparation for their final year of secondary school studies. It is compulsory for all students entering Year 12 in 2019 to attend the two-week program.  The purpose of this program is:

*Instil in students that the notion of consistent application is paramount to success in Year 12.

*For each subject teacher to explain his/her expectations of the students in relation to the subject

*To explain the key requirements and key aspects of each selected subject

*To allocate any preparatory work for completion over the holidays.

Students will attend two weeks of normal class for each of their five subjects (or one subject if they are fast tracking a Year 12 subject). As the timetable will not be completed by this time it will not be known exactly who the teachers of each subject will be. The Domain leader will allocate experienced and the most likely VCE/VCAL teachers to each group.

It is important that we raise this matter with parents and students now and give students plenty of advance warning so there can be no excuses for non-attendance. 12th November – 30th November are compulsory school days. This transition program will be a positive experience for students and will benefit all participants.

YEAR 11 CAMP

A Year 11 Melbourne Discovery camp has been cancelled due to low numbers.

YEAR 12

Year 12 Valedictory is next Thursday 22nd November at the GV Hotel. 

YEAR 10 EXAMS AND ORIENTATION PROGRAM

Year 10 end of year exams commence on Monday 26th November.  English and Maths exams will be held on Thursday 29th November.  A reminder that the orientation program for students progressing to Year 11 next year will follow on the week December 3rd - 7th. It is compulsory for all students entering Year 11 in 2019 to attend the program. 

ORIENTATION PROGRAM

A reminder that the Parent information evening for our 2019 Year 7 students will be held on Monday 10th December. We look forward to welcoming these students to our school on orientation day to be held the following day, Tuesday 11th December. 

ALLIANCE PROFESSIONAL LEARNING DAY

A professional learning day for Alliance schools will be held on Tuesday 27th November. Students will not be required at school on this day.

Before & After School

The school provides staff supervision for students arriving before school between 8.35am and 9.00am.  After school supervision is provided between 3.16pm and 3.58pm.
