We will also finish the term with Crazy Hair Day to reward students for the many positive behaviours  observed this term. We are looking forward to finishing Term 2 by celebrating with our families.

Sport during Term 2

There has been lots happening in sport during during term 2. The children have been practicing their Athletics skills in readiness for Term 3, Year 3-6 Athletics Carnival, in Week 4.

We have had a number of Grade 6 students represent our school at state trials. They have written about their experiences and we are very proud of everyone for trying their best.

Girls State Basketball

State Basketball was really exciting and really pushed me to try hard. Sadly, Addi and I didn’t get in but the competition was really tough. It was a really good experience and I learnt so many new skills. In the end, it was worth it with all the new things I learned and can share with my coaches.

Boys  State Basketball

State basketball was challenging and fun at the same time but we had to work hard for the 2 hours straight that we were there.  Keoni and I were lucky enough to make it to the next stage in Werribee. We had to fight through to get into the next stage which is during the holidays. We will be participating in a 2-day camp.

Boys State Football

The state football was awesome and exciting! We both loved it. It was challenging and nerve-racking but also super fun. It was a good experience and everyone had great sportsmanship on the day. Charlie and Will were good enough to make it to the next stage in Melbourne on Sunday 5th  June. At the last stage, Charlie didn’t play as he broke his finger, Will did an awesome job in Melbourne at the last stage but unfortunately, he did not make it through to the showcase day.

Boys State Soccer

On the 15th May,  Daniel Jack and I went to Melbourne for soccer state trails we had lots of fun and it was a good experience for all of us. We enjoyed it a lot. We got split into 4 teams, we weren't on the same teams but at least we had fun, unfortunately, we didn't make it but it was a really good opportunity and hopefully next time we can make it into the team. A ball hit jack in the face and it hurt.

Girls State Netball

State Netball was a great experience for Summer, Ashy and I. Nerves were among the room but we still fought hard to the end. Our work paid off as we made the next round in Melbourne. Summer and Ashy were even luckier to make it to the last round! At the end of the day, we walked away with great feedback and smiles on our faces.

Girls State Football

The state football up in Melbourne was great. When I got there I had a big nerve of emotions running through me at the time, but at the same time, I was definitely very excited. Although last year I did way better and got through to the last stage. This year I wasn't so good and only made it through to the second stage. Although I didn't do very well, I'm still proud of the result I came home with. The experience was great and I had a blast. I got to meet many girls that have big dreams in their football careers just like me.

Boys State Cricket

State Cricket was a fun and learning experience for me because I got to learn new things that the other boys knew and I didn't know. The nerves slowly started to disappear when I was hitting the ball well and bowling well. I was very lucky to make it to the next round which is on Monday the 20th of June.

We are not able to supervise traffic in this area and our students safety is of highest priority. Thank you for your understanding.

We are thrilled to be able to connect more regularly with families and look forward to having families in classrooms and in attendance at whole-school gatherings.
