Kitchen Garden

During the kitchen garden program, we were given the opportunity to plant a variety of vegetables including peas, beetroot and lettuce in the veggie patch. We had a lot of fun and also learnt about the harvesting time, how much sunlight the plant needs and how far apart they should be planted. 

Persuasive Speech Writing

We have been looking at persuasive writing, in particular persuasive techniques such as rhetorical question, personal pronouns and emotive language. The students had to write a speech to persuade the class about what the best activity at camp was. The majority of the students chose the giant swing as their favourite activity. 

Equivalent Fractions

In Maths, we have been looking at how to figure out equivalent fractions. The students first used a fraction wall and now have moved on to using calculations to figure out the missing equivalent fractions. It was wonderful to see students working together to complete the questions.
