Acting Principal's Report
Reconciliation Week
As part of Reconciliation Week our Deadly Little Langys met with EMC students to learn about the Uluru Statement of the Heart and to do some art together. This year we are creating an artwork in our front garden to show our reconciliation footsteps and Be Brave and Make Change. Thanks to Mrs Humphrey for the important work she leads with our Koorie kids and the wider school community.
Cross Country
We had some very successful runners at Division Cross Country last week, many of these students now go onto compete at the Regional event next week. Congratulations and good luck.

Real Schools - Curriculum Day
It was lovely to have Simon from Real Schools back onsite on Monday to talk all things Restorative. We revisited the use of Circles and how powerful they can be within the classroom space. We talked about how to use them, when and why. Circle time can be a simple check in about feelings or can be a teaching and learning measure or it could be a response to a situation or event that has occurred. For our students, circles provide a safe space, encourages eye contact and a dedicated time to engage with their peers.
Semester 1 Reports and Parent/Teacher Interviews
Teachers are finalising student's Semester 1 reports over the next week or so. These reports will be uploaded to Sentral and be available to parents in the late afternoon on Tuesday 12th July. I encourage all parents to read their child’s report prior to attending their interview with their teacher. Interviews will be held on Thursday 14th July and Friday 15th July. Appointments will be open next week, and I encourage every family to make a suitable time to come and meet with the teacher to talk about your child’s progress. For forward planning for parents Friday 15th July will be a Student Free day.
