Year 11 Earth & Environmental Science students were tasked with building a model of a type of convergent or divergent plate boundary. The model required them to understand, and explain,  the mechanisms that result in the dynamic creation and destruction of the Earth's lithosphere during the plate tectonic cycle. Included in their models were the resulting topographical and geographical features, including horsts and grabens, volcanoes and earthquakes.

The students enjoyed the opportunity to 'get creative' and produced a diverse range of interesting and accurate models.

Mrs Boyd was suitably impressed!
