People Should not Visit the Great Barrier Reef
People should not visit the Great Barrier Reef. There is too much rubbish going into the reef. The rubbish is killing the fish and the coral.
Over 1500 fish species live in the G.B.R. The G.B.R is home to nearly 5,000 marine and mammal species. Coral provides homes to lots of animals including1,500 different fish, crabs and sea stars which live in live in the G.B.R.
Pollution is lowering water quality on the Great Barrier Reef. This is making it hard for the fish to breathe. Lots of chemicals are also going into the reef. The chemicals come from farms that use too much fertiliser on their crops.

You should not visit the Great Barrier Reef
The Government should close the Great Barrier Reef. The Coral is dying and the fish have nowhere to live. If the fish have nowhere to live they will start dying. If the people stop visiting the Great Barrier Reef the coral will have a better chance of surviving.
The Great Barrier Reef is the largest reef in the world. I’m not gonna see the Great Barrier Reef from the moon, but you could! The Great Barrier Reef is made up of 900 islands and it is the size of 70 million football ovals.
Did you know that the Great Barrier Reef is 34,700km2 in size? The Great Barrier Reef is home to more than just fish and coral. It is home to more than 1500 species of fish. The Great Barrier Reef is home to nearly 5,000 marine and mammal species. Did you know the smallest fish In the world lives in the Great Barrier Reef? The smallest fish is called the stout infant fish which is 7 mm in size.
Coral provides homes to many animals including crabs, sea stars, fish and sea urchins. Fish eat lots of crustaceans. Hundreds of species of fish come to the coral reef every day. Hermit crabs live in the coral reef as well.
So, STOP visiting the great Barrier Reef!
