Principal's Message

  Mrs Josie Crisara

As we move into the second week of term, we resume the learning in the classroom and the myriad of enriching and community based activities that make school life interesting.  We started the term with our ANZAC service and our guest speaker presented an interesting story of the war experience. These is an important event which the whole school attended.

House Athletics carnivals were held and participation levels were great.  The athletics sports are a reminder to students about the importance of exercise, the function of competition and the development of team spirit.  Thank you to the PE staff for their organisation of these large logistical events and for the support from teachers and helpers.

Staying motivated and focused is key to academic success.  This includes setting goals, breaking tasks down into smaller steps and asking for support if needed. The extra curricular activities are a fun way to spend time outside of class and also play a significant role in academic success.  It is students who keep themselves busy and participate in the myriad of activities on offer who gain from the experience.

Continuing to build positive relationships with teachers and peers can make a significant difference in a student’s academic and personal success. This includes modelling our school values of being respectful and kind.

The Parents and Friends are busy organizing term events with the Mother's Day stalls and breakfast the next main activity.  Please support them in their endeavours.
