School Council for 2023

Dear Fellow Parents,

How wonderful it was to see so many smiling faces at our recent Mother's Day and Special Person's stall. The joy amongst the children was palpable and I am sure this translated to a very special day yesterday for all families. Thank you so very much to our lovely band of parent volunteers who made this day possible. I know our principal Simon has mentioned further ways we can all get involved at school in this edition of the newsletter, and I would encourage you all to consider this. Council has been very keen to find meaningful opportunities for parents to assist at school from classrooms to Mother's Day stalls to sausage sizzles and on excursions and camps. If we all help out a little, it makes such a difference overall.

For those of you with children in grade three, you will no doubt have heard that the grade three classrooms and corridor were recently renovated and I can tell you they look fantastic. With fresh paint, new pin-boards, perfectly functioning interactive whiteboards and much more natural light, these rooms are far more conducive to teaching and learning. With these rooms complete, the only classrooms left are the grade four classrooms and Renata's Performing Arts and Italian room which will be completed in the June holidays. As always, a big thank you to the Buildings and Grounds sub-committee for their great work with this.

Regards,
