Oval Works

Unfortunately the rain delayed the oval works this week but thankfully they have recommenced today. We are still expecting a completion date of around the July school holidays or early Term 3. At the moment the contractors are preparing the base for asphalt as well as completing some drainage. We expect to see more works, especially such as the synthetic surfacing and installation of the hybrid goal / soccer posts in the next few weeks.

Prep Sibling Enrolments

We are now accepting enrolment for any Prep 2024 students who currently have a sibling at school. You will find the Sibling Enrolment Form for 2024 on your Compass Feed.

We request you complete this form and return it to the school as soon as possible via email, or drop it in at the office. Please attach a birth certificate/passport and immunisation certificate for your child. If your child has a current visa, please attach a copy to your application. 

The Enrolment Form and associated documentation, needs to be submitted to the school by Friday 23rd June, the last day of Term 2. As this form is for siblings only, we request that you do not share it with any other parents. As we have a very high demand for places, we request you return this form as soon as possible so we have a clear understanding of our prep numbers for 2024.

Uniform Update

With winter on the way, there has been an increase in non-uniform items (such as black leggings, casual jumpers and jackets) being worn to school. Can I please ask families to visit the PSW website (https://www.psw.com.au/) or the Glen Waverley store located behind Office Works on Springvale Rd if your child is in need of new uniform items. 

We expect that all students are in uniform and provide a range of different items to suit the needs of all students. At the end of each term, we hold a second had uniform sale as well. You co-operation to ensure your child is in correct uniform is appreciated.

PLEASE ENSURE ALL ITEMS, ESPECIALLY JACKETS, ARE CLEARLY NAMED.

Year 5 Camp

Next week our Year 5 students head off to Log Cabin Camp and Sovereign Hill for three days of fun and excitement. We wish you all a wonderful time and lots of sunshine too. We look forward to hearing about your adventures on your return to school.

Early Drop Off / Late Pick Up

Please do not drop children at the school before 8.40am in the morning as there are no staff on duty before this time. If parents are going to be late arriving to pick up their child, we would appreciate a phone call to notify the office.

Happy Mother’s Day To all of the WHPS mums out there, I wish you a happy Mother’s Day for Sunday. Whatever your perfect Sunday is, I hope that your family is all set to make it happen!
