Around The Grounds

 

Three Lowanna boys; Cooper Belsham, Brody Young and Keller Holmes played in the Adelaide Classic recently where they played 6 games winning all but one which they drew. 

The boys then went on to play the Grand Final where they won. Cooper and Brody both finished the tournament in the Top 5 scores for their division out of 60 kids. Well done boys! 

 

Congratulations to Hollie Findlater who was selected to represent the Ellinbank and District Netball League in the 2023 Netball Association Championships Under 15’s A Grade.

 

Congratulations to Fraser Aubrey who finished 5th in the U/14 Boys 1500m walk at the Australian Little Athletics.  

 

 

 

Congratulations to our Sports Trainee Alisha Molesworth who has had her second year signing with Boxhill Hawks VFLW.

 

 

Congratulations to Addison Howe who was selected to play in the Under 16 Vic Country side for the 2023 AFL National Development Championships.

 

Congratulations to Kya Smith who participated in the AFL Next Generation Academy Program from Collingwood Football Club!

Congratulations to the Lowanna College students who won the 2023 Division 1 Under 14 Girls Championships with a nail biting 1 point win over the Wodonga Wolves!

 

Well done to 2022 Lowanna College and Sports Academy graduate Bailey Humphrey on his recent AFL debut with the Gold Coast Suns. Mr Chandler and his family recently went to watch him play, but made sure they got a photo with the star

AFLX

On Wednesday 5th of April the Sports Academy students helped out with yet another successful AFLX day at the Moe Racecourse.

 

Congratulations to the winners:

Boys Championship: St Kieran's Catholic Primary School, Moe

Girls Championship: St Joseph's Primary School Warragul

Boys Participation:  Drouin South Primary School

 

A big congratulations to all students who attended for their behaviour, attitude and sportsmanship shown. It was a great day for everyone who came from near and far.

 

Well done to the Sports Academy students for umpiring and planning the day, as well as everyone else who contributed in some way, shape or form. 

 

We can't wait to see what we can achieve next year!
