Easter Raffle
Another huge thank you to the CHAPS team and our families for putting smiles on so many faces!
Over 100 hampers have been collated, drawn and handed out with the major prizes being awarded this afternoon at Assembly!
Over $5,000 was raised via the Raffle ticket sales! Our School Captains will be attending the CHAPS meeting on Monday 15th May at 7:00 pm to put forward a case to draw upon CHAPS’ fundraising to support this year’s student-led projects!
Lunchtime Chess Fun
In addition to our formal lunchtime chess lessons via https://chessforschools.com.au/ students can now engage in recess and lunchtime chess fun in the Canteen Courtyard. Chess pieces can be borrowed from the Canteen, with students free to challenge their friends.
This is a great example of a student-led initiative, funded by CHAPS (in 2022) and just one of our school’s strategies to support student wellbeing and engagement.
School Facilities Projects (including a Sandpit Top Up - Sorry!)
This week our facilities staff have been busy topping up gardens with mulch, finishing the rear access garden and topping up the sand in our three sandpits – sorry in advance for the sand that comes home in shoes!
Over the holidays our second Visual Arts Room will be refitted with vinyl floor and new furniture. The Prep, Year 1 and Year 3 common rooms will also be refitted with cabinetry.
Term 2 Dates
A reminder we return for Term 2 for one day on Monday 24th April, prior to observing ANZAC Day on Tuesday 25th April. Term 2 will resume on Wednesday 26th April with a pupil free day (Report Writing) on Friday 2nd June and another Public Holiday on Monday 12th June. Term 2 concludes on Friday 23rd June.
