School Council
Kii TPS Community,In the past month the 2023 School Council members have been working to develop effective ways of working together, this includes attending governance training to gain a stronger understanding of our roles and responsibilities.
One of the key ways we work is through subcommittees. We have been working to establish terms of reference for each subcommittee to ensure current and prospective members, and the broader school community have a clear idea of the purpose and objectives of each subcommittee. We have also agreed to establish a Diversity and Inclusion subcommittee to ensure school decisions are informed with consideration of a broad range of views and impacts.
In May, the Masterplans and Grounds, and the Finance subcommittees met. Some key activities included, engaging with Victorian School Building Authority on new toilet design and reviewing proposed new agreements for uniform supply and OSHC.
In the next month, we plan to have all sub committees meet. Please come along if you're keen to help out in any capacity or even just observe and see what it's about. It would be preferable if people can advise their attendance so we can adjust the venue if required. Please let Bianca know if you're interested in attending.
Meeting dates have been scheduled for the following sub committees
Education Policy: Monday 29 May 6:30-7:30
Masterplan and Grounds: Wednesday 7 June 4:30-5:30
Finance: Friday 9 June 3:00-3:30
Koorie Education: We are looking forward to the Koorie family gathering next Wednesday 24 May. Samantha Lord will be at the family gathering and will be available to discuss the sub committee with anyone interested in joining.
Meeting dates for the Social Committee and the Diversity and Inclusion sub committees will be communicated in the coming weeks.
If you would like more information about any of the sub committees or have anything else you wish to raise, please email Bianca Bianca.Dakin-Davies@education.vic.gov.auNgoongodgin (Thank you)TPS School Council
