Dear Parents/Guardians
Thank you to all those parents and family members who were able to join us at Athletics last week. Thank you also to Michael Kearton for organising this event. It was great to see Brigidine get a win!
We recently had a review that focuses on all areas of compliance. This day was an affirmation of all the work we do in this space. I would like to thank Jo Bayliss, particularly for her continued work in this area and preparation for the review.
In the last two weeks of this term and the first few weeks of next term, I will be away on long service leave. I am very grateful to have this time and the support of a great team at St. Joseph’s. Michael Kearton will be taking over my role with the support of our team at school and the Catholic Education Office staff, particularly our Principal Consultant, Kim Butler.
Lemongrass Cafe will be closed this week and next. Sushi orders will resume Thursday 8th June.
Closure Days
At our recent School Council meeting I presented the finalised closure dates for 2023. The purpose of closure days is to focus on staff professional development, in line with our Strategic Plan, Annual Action Plan, and Compliance Requirements. In line with the agreement, Catholic Primary Schools in Victoria have seven closure days to allocate annually. Some of these such as the first and last day of the school year and reporting writing day are part of the agreement. All other days as mentioned are in line with professional learning and our strategic planning.
