Ranges TEC News

The Year 12 class has been investigating the recycling practices at Ranges TEC. We did this through a survey sent to staff and students.

We also looked at the contents of all the bins at Ranges TEC.

As a class we discussed our findings and we discovered that:

• People were not recycling properly as they were not sure what they could recycle
• There are not enough recycling bins especially in the classrooms
• More signage is needed showing people what they can recycle

This recycling task is a part of a classroom assessment on “Communication Strategies" which involves looking at how we communicate problems and solutions effectively. This involved some research, designing posters, and writing letters to parents, teachers, staff, cleaners and the director. We also designed the new recycling bins. Look at how great they are! Well done Year 12!
