Learning Updates -

School of Possibilities

As we approach the end of Semester 1, units of learning are finalised and this often means that students are completing assessment tasks. This can lead to increased stress and tiredness in our young people and we encourage you to ensure that your child is receiving adequate sleep and balancing the demands of school and social activities.

Today, students received a copy of their semester 1 exam timetable. Exams commence on Tuesday 13th of June and run until Monday 19th of June. During this time, Year 10 and 11 students are only required to attend school for their exams. We understand that this arrangement can be a challenge for families, especially if your child travels to and from school on a bus. Supervision is therefore available for the school day on all days of the exams. Parents will be required to complete a permission form on PAM indicating the supervision requirements for their child during the exams. We will assume that students who do not have permission will remain at school for the full school day, each day of the exam period and will be supervised for private study. VCE Unit 1 and Year 10 classes will not be formally running. Unit 3 and VCE-VM classes will continue as scheduled and these students are expected to attend the College as per their usual schedule.

Please see below the draft timetable:

Year 9 into Year 10 2024 Information Night  Wednesday 7 June, 2023

A reminder that on Wednesday June 7th at 7pm we are holding an information night for students who will be in Year 10 in 2024 (current Year 9 students). This information night will deliver information relating to Year 10 core and elective subjects, VCE fast-track options and the process for subject selections. During this evening, families and students will have a chance to speak to the Year 10 teaching staff about the elective subjects on offer in 2024. We highly encourage all families to attend this important evening.
