Fruits of the Valley Cyclo-Cross 2023 At Shepparton Velodrome - Free Entry for Novice Riders

To be held on Saturday 1st and Sunday 2nd July 2023. Suitable for novice to experienced cyclists.

The Shepparton Cycling Club is currently getting ready to run a 2 day Cycling event which is rounds 3 and 4 of the Victorian Cyclo Cross State Series, Shepparton Fruits of the Valley Cyclo-Cross 2023.

In 2021 the Shepparton Cycling Club hosted the Inaugural Fruits of the Valley Cyclo-Cross and included into the Victorian State Series in 2022. They were a huge success, and we plan on making the 2023 event even bigger and better.

This event is from novice to experienced cyclists for all ages. Cyclo Cross is a little similar to Mountain Bike riding whereby you follow a marked out course where obstacles are placed along the way for you to ride through or over.

This event will attract many locals, state, and national competitors accompanied by support staff to the City of Greater Shepparton Council. It is expected that we attract 300 competitors and up to 1000 support staff and spectators.

The Shepparton Cycling Club is a well-established sporting club in Shepparton which has been providing cycling to the Shepparton district for over 90 years. We are proud to have been the starting ground for many Olympians and current World Champions. The Club hopes to carry on this tradition into the future with the next generation as they come through the ranks.

Junior Novice riders can turn up to the event on the day. Be there before Saturday at 5pm to register on Saturday or before Midday for Sunday to enter. All Novice junior riders will receive participation prizes.

Please contact the President Wendy Abbott MOB 0467941167 (After 1pm ) or Vice President Brad Higgins MOB 0418 350 840 if you would like more information on this event.
