School Council Report

School Council last met on Wednesday 17th May. The week prior a majority of councillors completed an online session provided by the Education Department on School Governance, which was a worthwhile session to review the roles and responsibilities of school council.

Key items discussed-

- Quotes provided for new commercial dishwasher needed for canteen. With new plumbing and cabinetry required to integrate the dishwasher it was decided that this would become a focus for Fundraising.

- Our first Fundraising event will be a raffle (details to follow).

- The school facilities have seen some more improvements with the office area updated with new carpet, paint and furniture. There is a master plan for upgrades to other areas in the future.

- PUT THIS DATE IN YOUR CALENDAR- Wednesday 21st June 6pm, we will be having a session to 'Meet the School Council' and hear a summary of the Annual Report for 2022, fundraising ideas, and future directions. More details to come.
