Mr Irwin's Message

Hello families and welcome to this week’s newsletter.

Over the past week we’ve had some great examples of our students doing what Teesdale kids do best (which is being great kids!) that are worth sharing and celebrating to start this week’s message.

Last week we had school photos which is very a busy day. It was so pleasing to get such a complimentary review from the photographers at the end of their visit on the behaviour and manners of our students. The following day one of our CRTs commented on how much they love coming to Teesdale because of the behaviour of the students. We have had this year and will continue to have a focus on calm and orderly classrooms as they support the wellbeing and learning of all students. It’s great to celebrate some practical examples of this in action. Well done to our students!

Its time to start thinking about enrolling for 2024. Do you have a sibling joining us in Foundation, or know a local family looking to enrol for the first time? On Tuesday May 23rd at 6:00pm we will be conducting an Enrolment Information Evening for prospective families. We will talk through school life, tour our facilities and explain the process of enrolling. This session is aimed at first time families but also families who may not have had a child in Foundation for a number of years, as things do look different in that neck of the woods to a few years ago. We look forward showing lots of families through our school on the 23rd of May.

To finish this week a shout out to all the Mums, Nans, Aunts and special women in the lives of our students ahead of Mother’s Day. Thanks for all of the love and support you give our students. I hope they go to great lengths in spoiling you on Sunday and we wish you all a very happy Mother’s Day!

Bye for now.
