SPOTLIGHT ON YEAR 5/6 STEM

Over the past couple of weeks, our Year 5/6 students have set out to use their programming skills, Lego, and our Dash robots to solve a real-world problem: How do we rescue casualties amidst the chaotic aftermath of earthquakes and other disasters? Our STEMgineers have been crafting a range of clever mechanisms, allowing our Dash robots to mimic the behaviour of true Disaster Bots. Teams have constructed large blades for the robots to navigate through treacherous rubble in their path and extendable arms in the hope of saving the lives of casualties trapped in the wreckage. We're looking forward to testing our Disaster Robots in the coming weeks!
