Music

Term 3 is a busy term for the Music department. Our Year 12 students are preparing for their HSC Elective examinations. These students prepare a combination of Composition, Musicology and Performance electives, which they present to external examiners. There are 19 Year 12 Music students, who are studying either Music 1, Music 2 or Music Extension. 

The Concert and Jazz Bands, as well as the Brass and Saxophone Ensembles, are also busy preparing for the Queensland Catholic Schools & Colleges Music Festival. This will be occurring in Brisbane between August 15 - 18. The bands will be travelling to, and staying, in Brisbane to compete in this competition. We wish our ensembles all the best for this competition, and hope they have a great experience.
