AGM & Parents’ Association Committee Meeting

Our AGM will be held on Wednesday 27 March 2019 at 7pm in the school staff room.  Notice and Agenda of the AGM has been sent out via Compass. All parents and guardians are invited to attend the Wheelers Hill Parents’ Association Annual General Meeting. 

 

Your Parents’ Association organises social events for the school community such as the annual Welcome Picnic, Movie Night and Disco as well as co-ordinating Year Level Representatives who organise social events for each year level. We also assist the school by running a number of fundraising activities throughout the year.

 

All parents and guardians are welcome at the AGM, to meet the committee and also take up a position if interested.  We always welcome new committee members to help us during the year or parents that just want to come and see how the meetings are run and provide some valuable input. There will be some light refreshments before the meeting at 7pm. Parents’ Association Membership 

A membership form to join the Parents’ Association has been sent out via Compass.  The membership fee is $5.00 per person.  We would appreciate all parents, guardians and carers to become members of the Parents’ Association as the membership fees are used to fund the Parents’ Association.  Last year funds from the membership fees were used to purchase a new BBQ and cover the costs of events such as the Welcome Picnic and the Parent Morning Teas.

 

Financial members are also entitled to vote at meetings and in elections and nominate for election to the Committee.

 Please take the time to complete the membership form and pay the $5.00 membership fee via Compass.

 

Year Level Representatives

We are looking for a parent to be the Year Level Representative for each year level (it can be a couple of parents rather than one).  Our Year Level Representatives arrange get togethers for parents during the year such as a dinner out or catch up at the park on the last day of term.  If you would be interested in being a Year Level Representative we would love to hear from you so send us an email at parents.association.whps@gmail.com.

 

Rush HQ

Our Rush HQ Fundraiser will be held on Thursday 28 March (4-6pm).  Please see the compass notice for details.  The event was a great success last year and everyone had a so much fun so we hope you can join us this time.

 

Easter Raffle

Tickets for our Easter Raffle have been sent out to students.  Please return sold tickets and money by the due date.

 

Subway Day

Our Subway Day for Term 1 will be held on Monday 1 April 2019.  Order forms have been sent out and need to be returned with the correct money by Thursday 28 March.  Please note that the Canteen will NOT BE OPEN on this day for lunch orders or purchases at Snack Time and Lunch time.

 

Second Hand Uniform Shop

Our next Second Hand Uniform Shop will be held on Wednesday 3 April 2019.  Donations of unwarranted (freshly laundered) uniforms can be dropped off at the blue bin outside the office.  If anyone can help Regine run the Uniform Shop on the day please email us at parents.association.whps@gmail.com.
