What's happening at CHPS
Prep & Junior House Cross Country
Last Tuesday October 22nd
What an amazing morning we had for running! It was so wonderful to see smiles on faces and determination to finish! We had fantastic encouragement from our student cheer squad and lots of spectators from our school community showing their support. Congratulations to all students who participated and gave their best. Hopefully everyone achieved a personal success in some way. A big thank you to our parent and grandparent helpers who were out on checkpoints guiding students around the course and to the Senior students who lead the Preps and Juniors around the course and helped encourage them to finish.
The final results for our houses were:
1st – Ovens - 264 points
2nd – Yarra – 252 points
3rd – Kiewa – 251 points
4th – Campaspe – 246 points
Congratulations Ovens house – it was very close this year!
An amazing effort from our first three place-getters in each race, well done!

Art Corner
Art Show Monday November 11th
The Art Show is only 2 weeks away! I am so looking forward to sharing the creative artworks created by out students this year. The Art Show is on Monday 11th November in the PAC. It will start at 6:00pm till 8pm. Level prizes will be handed out on the night. I hope to see you there on the night.
If you are able to help in setting up the artworks on either Sunday November 10th (anytime after 12pm) or Monday November 11th during the day, please send me an email or swing past the Art Room.
Any help, be it an hour or 2, will be really appreciated.

Library News
Yesterday (Wednesday) all Scholastic Book Club orders were delivered to classrooms. With Year 5 and Year 3 at Camp at the moment, your child may not receive their order until next week when everything returns to normal. If by Wednesday or Thursday next week you still believe that your order is outstanding, please contact me in the Library or contact your class teacher.

Teeth On Wheels is Back at CHPS
Exciting news! Teeth on Wheels will be returning to our school for the children’s 6 monthly dental visit’s.
To make filling out the consent form easier you can now complete your Child’s consent form online by following the link below.
It only takes 5 minutes to complete and by reducing the amount of paper being used, we will be helping the team out by being more environmentally friendly.

The date of the children’s dental visit will be starting on Thursday the 14th of November 2019, so please ensure if you didn’t complete a form at the start of the year to have this completed ASAP!

School Crossing Information
Parents, please note that neither the flagged crossing on Plymouth Rd outside Luther College, nor the lighted crossing outside Good Shepherd will be supervised next Monday, November 4th.
