ICAS
2018 UNSW International Competitions and Assessments for Schools (ICAS) – Science
On Tuesday 29th May, 18 Cobram Secondary College students sat the UNSW ICAS Science Exam and the results were very pleasing indeed. This exam was conducted on the same day in schools throughout Asia, as far away as South Africa, by over 500,000 students and consisted of 45 questions. The 50 – 60 minute exam focused on the key Science concepts relevant to each student’s year level at school. Students received either a High Distinction, Distinction, Credit, Merit or Participation Certificate acknowledging their level of achievement.
Our award recipients were:
Year 10: Robert Squires - Credit (Top 19% in Australia)
Year 9: Dante McNamara - Merit
Year 8: Noah Sullivan - Credit (Top 17% in Australia)
Year 7: Felicity Geisler - Merit
We would like to congratulate all students on their achievements and acknowledge their ongoing commitment to their education. Their willingness to challenge themselves in addition to their regular schooling here at CSC is to be commended.
