Where are the 2019 Year 12 graduates?

PHSC students continue to do well in receiving tertiary offers.  Overall, 97% of students who applied for a course in 2019 received an offer.

Students were accepted into a range of courses, with creative arts, humanities and science areas, the most popular.  81% of students received their first or second preference.  Almost 50% of the offers made were for The University of Melbourne and RMIT University, which have traditionally attracted many of our students.  It was pleasing to see that students applied widely in 2019 and will be studying at a range of tertiary institutions.  We wish our 2019 graduates all the very best for the future.

22 JUNE – 26 JUNE, 2020 (5 days)

An important component of our career development program at PHSC, work experience will be held the last week of Term 2.   Work experience provides our students with the opportunity to:

  • develop their employability skills, e.g. communication, team work, interpersonal skills
  • explore possible career options
  • assist with their career planning and subject selection
  • obtain a better understanding of the work environment and employer expectations
  • increase their self-understanding, independence and self-confidence

Year 10 students will receive further information this term about their work experience and students needing help in finding a placement, should visit the careers office on Level 3 (VCE study hub) to discuss their options.

If any parent/guardian is prepared to host a Year 10 student for 5 days, please contact Maria, Career Practitioner on 9389 0629.

Year 10 students need to organise their placements by 15 May.
