Learning in Lockdown!
Last week the Year 5-6 students were asked to write a letter to their teacher reflecting on their remote learning experiences during Term Two. Ms Sartoria and Mrs Hope were really impressed by the comments students’ made in their letters; their opening sentences set the scene for their audience and students presented a reasonable and very balanced view of remote learning pointing out both negatives and positives of the experiences. Every letter contained a really strong personal writer’s voice and concise, descriptive snapshots of learning in lockdown.
How is remote learning? It’s the SAME EVERY DAY! By Teddy
I’m having a really fun time doing remote learning. It’s a bit different because we don’t have a real teacher and I feel a little lonely sometimes. By Lily P-O
Remote Learning has been so much fun because of the incredible Learning tasks, they have so much variety. My favourite one so far has been the Reading Log because it got in to Harry Potter. By Cooper Tet.
I did a science experiment where I made Coke come out of a coke bottle with by dropping Mentos into it. I have achieved good cooking skills, I can now make my mum a fried egg for breakfast. By Brock

What I have learned this term is how to get somebody to be persuaded and I think I have been getting really decent at it. I think I could be a noble salesman or an inventor because I have super good ideas, like flying chairs! By Arthur
Well, to sum it all up, it’s been an amazing experience. I’ve also enjoyed it a bit more than sitting in a classroom but overall it’s been a bit boring. By Holly
