Year 9 Health & PE- Wheeltalk

Over the past few weeks, each Year 9 PE class has been learning about the various sports that are adapted to promote participation for people living with disabilities.

During this presentation, the speaker, Orfaio, talked about the adversities he has faced in his life, as well as the exciting opportunities that life in a wheelchair has brought. Orfaio represented the country in Wheelchair Basketball at two Paralympic Games and World Championships where he won Gold medals in both.

The students were also able to participate in a game and tested their own skills in Wheelchair Basketball for the lesson. Thank you to Disabilities Sport and Recreation Victoria for coming to the College and speaking to all Year 9 Health & PE classes.
