ENGLISH

Year 10 English is designed to prepare students for the challenge of VCE. Understanding the styles, structures, language features, images and vocabulary of complex texts allows students to assess the qualities of written, spoken and multimodal communication. Using this knowledge students are able to justify their own interpretations and develop their own style in order to express complex ideas clearly. Students will study two written texts, a film and engage with a variety of formats related to contemporary issues.
