Year 10 Arts 

MUSIC

Students develop performance techniques in solo and group contexts, as well as skills in aural comprehension and music theory. Students will demonstrate prepared technical work. A showcase is performed at the end of each semester as a soloist or a group setting.

DANCE

Students will develop an ability to create complex choreography that communicates a theme, story or idea. They will use the elements of dance and choreographic devices to help communicate their ideas. Students will learn technique and choreography from a variety of styles and have an opportunity to perform in a showcase. Students will analyse a professional dance piece identifying the use of the elements of dance, choreographic devices and production elements to communicate expressive intention.
