Year 7 Art

Year 7 students have been working on what for the last couple of lessons. The students learned how to use water colour paint to demonstrate their knowledge of colour theory through the creation of an artwork. Students blended a vast range of tertiary colours to use alongside the primary and secondary colours, highlighting the fish and the sand (warm colours), and accentuating the ocean (cool colours).

9/10 Art

Year 9/10 art is working in ceramic mediums to create a hybridization of mechanical and organic structures. The Machine Animal project requires research, planning and design, as students draw up their ideas and reproduce them as free standing sculptures.

Rotary Art Show

Each year we are lucky enough to have a member of the local Rotary Club come and select three student’s artworks from our college Art and Design show to be featured in the student section of the prestigious Mornington Rotary Art show.

This year Amber Richards Thomas, Amber Jeffery, and Jackson Pollard had their art works selected. Their artworks were on display at the Mornington Rotary Art show over the summer holidays.  Amber Jeffrey received the award for the best student artwork in show! She received $200 prize.

Jackson Pollard's photograph was awarded a High Commendation award.  Congratulations to all students involved!
